HOW DO WE ACCESS THE TRUTH BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

Moses gave the Law, but grace and truth came from Jesus Christ. This Godhead, the son of the Most High revealed this grace and truth to us that we may obtain salvation. Through this grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we had access to the truth from the Holy Spirit. He talked to the disciples concerning the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit who would guide them into all the truths. What at all is this truth that the only personality to function in this manner is His Spirit (Holy Spirit). The same God through his spirit on Paul revealed also unto us who will lead us into the truth, the hidden wisdom and mysteries of the Kingdom.

The truth in this kingdom is only revealed by the Holy Spirit. Any entity, concerning sincerity and trustworthiness, cannot reveal the truth in this Kingdom except by the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of truth). Time will not permit me to talk about the Ministry of the Holy Spirit, but one core function of the Spirit of Truth is that he searches even the deeper things of God and makes them known to us.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10 (KJV)

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 16:15-17 (KJV)

WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

We know that the seal of our salvation is the promise of the Holy Spirit according to Ephesians 1:13. And when the Spirit comes, as said by Christ Jesus, "He will guide us into all the truths" This actually gives us an insight that even after believing in Jesus, you now need to be led into the truth by his spirit. Remember, it is the truth that sets free from John 8:32. So the Spirit is called a comforter or helper. He gives us hope concerning our faith in Jesus.

The truth is the inspiration from the Spirit of God as one seeks to know God by His word, through his wonderful doings and be a partaker of the advantages of this kingdom.
Truth is like a hidden treasure in the field, they that seek it will find it under the appropriate conditions.

It is the truth that gives us liberation. Grace provides access to the truth but is the truth that sets free. The Holy Spirit is the Truth so our walk with him guides us into all truth. It is by this truth that we know that the world was framed by the word of God. It opens our minds to the dealings of the enemy so that we may be vigilant to overcome him when we fall into divers of temptation. It is the truth that will guide our journey to Heaven after we have believed in Christ.

HOW TO ACCESS THE TRUTH?

We only find the truth through the Word of God. The writings in the scripture are not actually the truth but the spiritual meanings unto every written word in the bible revealed by the Holy Spirit. One may ask, how am I going to get these spiritual meanings from the Holy Spirit?

The first to do is to generate intimacy with the Holy Spirit, one which goes beyond friendship, marriage or any kind of relationship. We generate intimacy with the Spirit of God through consistent studying of the word, praying and following any instruction provided by Him. This involves an investment of yourself, time and probably resources. Before you study the word, invite him to guide you into the truth. While studying the word, eager to find the spiritual meanings of what has been written, we go by meditation.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:2 (KJV)

These scriptures above make emphasis on the meditation of the word of God. How do we meditate on God's word?

Christian meditation is the act of filling one’s mind with Scripture, and dwelling on God and all that He offers to humanity. While the word “meditation” in the Bible has three separate definitions, it can be summarized. It means to “mutter, speak and ponder” to oneself the words of Scripture so that we are constantly meditating on what God has spoken to us. This produces not only knowledge of the Bible but also, a heart transformation.

Upon meditation, we are not only sufficient with the time we scheduled for the study of the word but at every time and everywhere (day and night). Through this consistent spiritual activity, the Holy Spirit then sees the need for you to know the truth concerning his word. This shows your delight in the law of the Lord and he is too faithful to reveal to you the mysteries behind all these that you may be like a tree planted by the riverside. Consistency produces sufficiency that nothing is lacking.

I have such experiences and I hope you will do so with the help of the Holy Spirit. A blog entitled "The Ministry of the Word" will soon be published and this will guide you from here on meditation.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TRUTH
  • It causes liberation from ignorance and prevents us from being vulnerable towards the plans of the enemy

  • It secures our salvation obtained through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
  • It does not give room to mistakes and "had I known" kinds of stuff
  • It broadens our knowledge of spiritual matters and issues.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 (KJV)
